Colette “Coc” K. Kearney, age 70, of Kearney died Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. 

Memorial Mass will be Monday, January 9, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Fr. Mike McDonald officiating.  Burial will be at the Kearney Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials are suggested to the Prince Of Peace Catholic Church or the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department.   A message of condolence, tribute or memory can be left at www.hlmkfuneral.com. Coc was born October 10, 1941 in Fairmont, Minnesota to John and Fern (Prentiss) Murtha.  She attended school in Fairmont and was a graduate of Fairmont High School in 1959.  Following her graduation, she entered college at Mankota State College where she received her Bachelors Degree in 1963.  Coc taught in the project area of Denver from 1963 to 1966. 

She married Donald E. Kearney on June 25, 1966 in Fairmont and they later moved to Ames, Iowa where Don was employed in the banking business.  They moved to Kearney in 1986 where they were member of Prince Of Peace Catholic Church.  Coc was an avid card player and especially enjoyed playing bridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
