Lynn A. Rundstrom
July 27, 1947 - January 20, 2012

Lynn A. Rundstrom, age 64, of Kearney died Friday morning, January 20, 2012 in Peoria, Arizona from complications of a stroke.  She was a devoted wife, beloved mother and doting grandmother.   

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 27, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church at 2407 West 56th Street in Kearney with Father Matt Koperski officiating.  Burial will be in the Kearney Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral Home  followed by a gathering of friends and relatives in the California Room at the UNK Alumni House at 2222-9th Avenue.  Memorials are planned to the UNK Jim and Lynn Rundstrom Family Service Award Fund or the Music Ministry Fund at the Newman Center. Lynn was born July 27, 1947 in Sidney, Nebraska to the late Willis J. and Joline Ackerman Robinson.  She was a graduate of Sidney High School where she was a Girls State representative in 1964 and Honored Queen of Job’s Daughters.  After graduation in 1965 she attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.

Lynn married  Jim Rundstrom on June 8, 1968 in Sidney and they made their home in Kearney.  She graduated from the University of Nebraska Kearney with a degree in Business Education in 1970.  She worked at the First National Bank in Kearney until her children were born.  She raised her three children and continued to work part-time until retiring.

Lynn dedicated her life to caring for and serving others.  She served as President of PEO Chapter AS and UNK Faculty Wives and was an active member.  She was a member of the Newman Center Catholic Church and was also the pianist for church services  for over 15 years.  She was a volunteer for the Good Samaritan Hospital Service League and she was involved in all of her children’s activities, including PTA, Girl Scouts and Jobs Daughters.

1 sister----------------Leslie Robinson Patrick and her husband Joe of Marquette, MI

1 brother--------------Rob Robinson and his wife Pam of Sidney, NE

Many other relatives and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents.
