Robert H. “Bob” Kittle, 68, of Kearney died Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at his home in Kearney. 

 

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Kearney. Rev. Lew Champ will officiate and burial will be at the Kearney Cemetery. Visitation is planned Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney or prior to services Saturday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to First Christian Church.  A message of condolence, tribute or memory can be left at www.hlmkfuneral.com. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services of Kearney are in charge of arrangements.

 

On April 8, 1966 he married Darene Garrelts in Kearney.

 

 He was an active member of the First Christian Church; the Full Gospel Business Men’s International and was president of the First Christian Church Men’s Group. He loved to volunteer at Northeast Elementary School and at the I Believe In Me Ranch. He was known to many as “Grandpa Bob”. His ready smile and genuine laugh will be greatly missed by all. He spent the last few years enjoying many travels, riding his motorcycle and visiting grandkids. He always enjoyed meeting new people – for him, there were never strangers, just friends he hadn’t met.
