Aletha Darene Kittle Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Aletha Darene Kittle, 75, of Kearney died Friday, December 07, 2018 at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at New Life Church in Kearney. Rev. Dean Buse will officiate and burial will be at Kearney Cemetery. Visitation is planned Tuesday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney. Memorials are suggested to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Darene was born November 5, 1943 in Kearney to Carson and Lois (Chambers) Garrelts. She grew up in Kearney and graduated from Kearney High School in 1961. On April 8, 1966 she married Robert “Bob” Kittle in Kearney. She and her husband lived in Kearney and she worked at Cabela’s in customer service until retiring in 2009. While at Cabelas she worked in a group nicknamed the "Smile Aisle" who promoted positivity and was well liked by her co-workers. She is a former member of First Christian Church and was attending New Life Church in Kearney. Darene had a strong belief in God and lived her life accordingly. She would always support and do anything for her family. She enjoyed traveling to a variety of locations from New Zealand to Alaska. She loved playing cards with friends and family and was always up for the next experience. Family would describe her as headstrong with an optimistic attitude. Darene had many friends and acquaintances and she would enjoy her random encounters with them and catching up. Survivors include daughters Shirley Adams and her husband Mike of West Chester, PA, Deb Kittle of Kansas City, MO, Karen Kittle of Grand Island, NE and son, Eugene Kittle and his wife Michelle of Omaha, NE, grandchildren Kayla, Ethan, Sarah and Leah Kittle, Emma Adams, Jessi MacLeod and Kristen Adams, sister Pam Anderson and her husband Tim of North Platte, NE. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2010; brother Lawrence Garrelts and sister Priscilla Chambers Pinson.
