Ellen “Betty” E. Loseke, 81, of Minden formerly of Kearney, died March 29, 2022 at Bethany Home in Minden. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, April 4, 2022 at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services with Parish Ministry Associate, Julie Schmidt, Bethany Home Chaplain officiating. Burial will follow at the Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 pm, April 3, 2022 at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorials are suggested to the family, to be designated later. Betty was born July 30, 1940 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Howard and Carrie (Clark) Paetz. Betty married Delano Loseke on May 16, 1964 in Oklahoma. They moved to Kearney, where she stayed home and raised their family. She always had a huge hug for anyone in her family. Betty loved animals especially dogs, growing zucchini and cabbage in her garden, making the best macaroni salad, drinking diet coke, and having an occasional beer. Betty is survived by her sons, Ron (Ardithe) Paetz of Valrico, FL, Gary (DaNay) Loseke of Battle Creek, NE, Lonnie (Nancy Brannon) of Tea, SD; daughter, Judy Anderson (Scott Johnson) of Minden, NE; sister Bertha (Charles) Marienau of Kearney; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, sister, grandson, and son-in-law.
