A notice to our families

To Our Families and Community. Information on Funerals and COVID-19

Dear Friends and Families,

We would like to first express our heartfelt condolences and sympathy for your loss.  We also recognize the added agony and grief you are experiencing due to current mandated health standards in relation to prohibited large gatherings, specifically visitations, wake services and graveside committal services.  As we continue to evolve and progress through the Covid-19 pandemic we constantly discover new challenges that test the way we have cared for families for decades. We want nothing more than to serve each family to the absolute best of our abilities as we sincerely appreciate those who entrust their loved-one’s care to us.  In an attempt to comply with the state on Nebraska’s ever-changing mandated health standards we would like to explain the current regulations that we will abide by until further notice.

1.       Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl is currently not under any specific health mandated restrictions in regard to amount of people that can attend a funeral/visitation in our facility.

2.       Many churches in our area may still have regulations in place.  You are encouraged to reach out to us or the specific church for clarification on restrictions.

3.       We will continue to encourage mask wearing and social distancing while in attendance.

4.       You are strongly encouraged to make the best decision for you and your health prior to attending any type of funeral services regardless of location.  We will make every effort possible to provide an online viewing option (either live or recorded) available for services.

Please remember that we want nothing more than to provide your loved one with the upmost dignity and care that they deserve.  We are happy to work with you to accommodate any reasonable request while at the same time arriving at a resolution that honors the lives of those that place the ultimate trust in us. If you have any questions regarding the above guidelines, please call us to discuss.

Thank You for your understanding and continued support at this difficult time.  We truly are all in this together and we will get through it.

Mark McBride
Spencer Kuhl
