Adam M. Rodriguez, 45, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly Kearney, passed away peacefully On Sunday, October 17, 2021 surrounded by family from complications due to COVID. Memorial services will be on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Kearney. The family request that attendees wear masks and practice social distancing. Father Joe Hannappel will celebrate and burial will be at the Kearney Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force Honors Team. There will be no visitation. Memorial donations in Adam’s name are suggested to Red Rocks Search and Rescue (Las Vegas), American Legion, and the Memorial Bataan Death March Marathon. Adam was born in Kearney, NE to J. Mario and Hilda B. (Carranza) Rodriguez. He received his education from Kearney High School, graduating with the Class of 1994. He enlisted into the United States Air Force at the young age of 18. Adam’s unwavering commitment and courageous heart led him to serve his country for 20 years. His military career took him all over the world and everywhere he went, the people he met became family. He completed several distinguished military schools including earning his Airborne Wings. After military retirement, Adam was a Lead Civil Engineer at the Hoover Dam, volunteered for the Red Rocks Search and Rescue, and traveled the world fulfilling his dreams to seek the whitest of sands and the warmest waters. Adam was a much-loved son, father, brother, family member, and friend. He had a zest for life and shared it with everyone that crossed his path. Adam loved his family and friends, and was the life of the party, lighting up every room he walked into with his smile. Adam is survived by his children, Taylor Rodriguez Vance (Andrew), Riley Rodriguez, and Aarron Rodriguez; mother, Hilda (Carranza) Rodriguez; and his siblings, Eva Priebe (Rich), Joe Rodriguez (Jen), Rita Carter (Jim), Jaunita Koerner (Paul); and his grandchildren; Ethan, Evan, and Claire Vance; Girlfriend, Sharilyn Hetherington. He was preceded in death by his father, J. Mario Rodriguez.
