Andra G. Frank, 68, of Kearney, died unexpectedly after a brief illness August 28, 2012 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, August 31, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church with Father Paul Colling and Father Mike McDonald officiating. Burial will be at the Kearney Cemetery. A wake service will be Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. There will be no visitation the casket will be closed. Memorials are suggested to the Buffalo County Citizen Advocacy or Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Andra was born January 8, 1944 in Phillipsburg, Kansas to George and Margie (Shields) Attebery. She graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1962. She married Ken Frank on March 20, 1965 in Clay Center, Kansas. They lived in Omaha for few years where Andra was a stay at home mother until 1974 when they moved to Kearney. Andra was the Coordinator for Buffalo County Citizen Advocacy. She was a champion of protecting the rights of those most vulnerable. She was very proud to have created the Holiday Home Tour which was a great benefactor for Citizen Advocacy. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and served on various committees in the church. Andra was also active in the Kearney Area United Way, PEO Chapter AS, and Kearney Catholic High School Board from 1995 1999. She loved spending time with her family, shopping, dancing, exercising; especially zumba, traveling and reading.
