C. Azale Line, 89, of Miller, NE died Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Miller Methodist Church in Miller, NE.Rev. Bonnie Brock will officiate and burial will be at the Armada Cemetery in Miller.Visitation is planned Wednesday from 5:00 ? 7:00 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney or prior to services Thursday at the church.Memorials are suggested to the Miller United Methodist Church or the Sumner Baseball Program. He was born November 6, 1921 to C. T. and Minnie (Russell) Line at their home northeast of Eddyville, NE in the Buzzards Roost area of Custer County. On December 24, 1941 he married Irma A. Judy.They farmed and ranched all their lives. The Judy & Line Ranch has been in the family for 124 years. He was a member of the Miller United Methodist Church, Miller Lion?s Club and the Miller Senior Citizen?s.He served on the Buffalo County Fair Board, Platte Valley State Bank Board of Directors and was an officer in the Buffalo County T Bone Club.He also served as a 4 H leader for many years with the Diamond Willow 4 H Club and was a founding member of the Miller Dance Club. He is survived by: Daughter: Judy and husband Robert Erwin of Sumner, NE and grandchildren; Susan and husband Brian Dittmar of Sumner and their children Kasie and Lindsey Dittmar and James Erwin of Akron, CO and his children Jessica and Chelsey Erwin of Grand Island, NE and Chase Erwin of Sumner, NE. Daughter in law Dixie Line of Miller, NE and grandchildren Darby and wife Annette Line of Miller and their sons Travis, Dillan, Jason, Creyton and Braxton; Deanna and husband Dan Sleicher of Kearney and their children Cassidy and Collin; and Danelle and husband Matt Hadwiger of Amherst and their children Ty, Taryn, Tenley and Tayje. He is also survived by special friend Janice Pfeiffer of Amherst, NE He is preceded in death by his wife in 2000 and sons; Daniel in 1961 and Douglas in 2009. PDF Printable Version
