Cynthia A. Svarvari McCourt, 61, of Kearney died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at her home with her family by her side. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Kearney Church of Christ. Rev. Jay Towell will officiate and burial will follow at the Overton Cemetery. Visitation is planned on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral Services of Kearney is in charge of arrangements. Cynthia was born on June 9, 1951 in Kearney, NE to William R. and Norma J. (Pickett) Maas. She grew up in Southern California and Overton and graduated from Overton High School in the class of 1969. Cindi lived for many years in Minnesota and Wisconsin, but returned to Nebraska in 1988. Cindi was an amazing free spirit. She will be remembered for her strength and stubbornness, her philosophizing, her solid sense of right and wrong, her incredible optimism, her desire to help those in need, and most of all, for her extraordinary ability to love. Surviving Relatives: Husband Ron McCourt, of Kearney, NE Daughter Stacey Snider Simon and her husband Brian, of Tucson, AZ Daughter Cameo Grayek and her husband Chad, of Overton, NE Son: : Sage Svarvari and Becky Witmer, of Elm Creek, NE Step daughter: Stacy McCourt and her significant other Chris Harris, of Lexington; Step daughter: Shavon McCourt and her significant other Joe Villalon, of Lexington; Step daughter: Sharon Moler and her husband Ben, of Elwood 19 grandchildren (Ivan, Jerrica, Dylan, Anthony, Noah, Shae, Tovar, Calla, Hunter, Shirley, Amberly, Caleb, Chloe, Dominek, Zailey, Nikolai, Troubadour, Nadyezhda, and Jurnee) Brother Rick Maas and his wife, Lynda, of Broken Bow Sister Stephanie Wood and her husband John, of Overton Brother Greg Maas and his wife, Mary, of Phoenix, AZ Brother Jeff Maas of Overton Sister Marcy Fleenor and her husband Pat, of Overton Sister Missy Smith, and her husband Dave, of Overton Numerous nephews, nieces, and other extended family members; as well as many friends.
