Randy Dell Gove

Randy Dell Gove, 72, of Kearney, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply and a lifetime of memories that will be cherished forever. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., February 18, 2026, at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl in Kearney followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m., and burial at Kearney Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Ft. Kearney State Park, Care of the family. Randy was born on November 5, 1953, to Colleen (Brown) Gove and Kenneth Gove. He grew up in Gibbon, Nebraska, where he formed strong roots, lifelong friendships, and the hardworking values that would define him throughout his life. On April 28, 1978, Randy married Kimberly Taylor in Kearney, Nebraska. Together they built a family and welcomed two children, Miranda and Ryan. Randy treasured his role as a father and took pride in providing and caring for his family. While Randy and Kimberly later separated in 1990, his love and dedication to his children and family never changed. Randy spent many years working at J.A. Baldwin Manufacturing, where he was known for his reliability, determination, and strong work ethic. He took great pride in doing a job well and earning the respect of those he worked alongside. His years of dedication reflected the kind of man he was — dependable, loyal, and hardworking. Outside of work, Randy found happiness in the simple moments that made life meaningful. He loved NASCAR, thrifting, antiquing, and searching for hidden treasures at garage sales — especially when he could spend that time alongside his mother, whom he loved dearly. Randy had a deep passion for genealogy and took great pride in learning about and preserving his family’s history. He also loved American history and music, and those who knew Randy will remember how much he enjoyed turning his favorite songs up loud and enjoying every moment of them. More than anything, Randy will be remembered for his heart. He was a devoted son who was always there for his mother, offering his helping hand, time, and love without hesitation. He was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose family brought him immense joy and pride. His quiet kindness, sense of humor, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Gove; step-father Walter Treadway, his brother, Dennis Gove; and his beloved son, Ryan Gove. He leaves behind his loving mother, Colleen Gove; his daughter, Miranda (Jimmy) Moore; his grandchildren, Payne Moore and Delaney (Braeden) Axtell; his great-grandchildren, Everly and Ridley Axtell; as well as his niece, Jennifer DiGaetano; nephews, Jeremy and Jeff Gove; extended family, and many dear friends. Though he is gone, Randy’s love, stories, and memories will live on through the friends and family he adored. Randy will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
