Sue K. Bolin, 62, of Gibbon died Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral services will be Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kearney. Rev. Duane Duley will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon. Visitation is planned Sunday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Memorials are suggested to the family to be determined later to the charity of Sue’s choice. She was born October 30, 1954 in Kearney to Earl and Florence (Domeier) Schroder. She graduated from Kearney High School in 1973 and from Kearney State College in 1977. On December 30, 1978 she married Jim Bolin in Kearney. The couple lived in Gibbon and she taught at Stone School, east of Kearney for 2 years. She was a substitute teacher at Shelton while raising her family then started working at the Exchange Bank in Gibbon in 1989. She enjoyed her many years at the bank, where she was still working as an Assistant Vice President. Sue was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kearney and the Valley View Golf Course in Gibbon. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and playing with her grandchildren. Sue also liked golfing and the outdoors, traveling with her friends and family and cheering on the Huskers and the Kansas City Royals. Surviving relatives include her husband Jim of Gibbon; son Justin Bolin and wife Paige and grandson’s Mason and Jake of Red Cloud, NE; daughter, Heather Estes and husband Luke and grandson Alex and future baby Estes of Kearney; mother, Florence Schroder of Grand Island, NE; sister, Connie Coatman and husband Don of Tucson, AZ; brother Stan Schroder of Grand Island, NE; mother-in-law, Nancy Bolin of Gibbon; sister-in-law, Deb Ruliffson and husband Greg of Lincoln, NE; brother-in-law, Dan Bolin and wife Jan of Lincoln, NE and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her father and father-in-law, Dick Bolin.
