Timothy R."Tim" Saltzman, 43, of Kearney died Monday, June 25, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral services will be Friday, June 29, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kearney. Rev. Duane Duley will officiate and burial will be at the Kearney Cemetery. Visitation is planned Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney or prior to services Friday at the church. He was born February 10, 1969 in Sioux City, Iowa to Thomas and Patricia (McLarty) Saltzman, Sr. He grew up in South Sioux City, NE and graduated from South Sioux City, NE High School in 1987. While in High School he participated in football and wrestling. He attended Kearney State College where he was on the wrestling team and a member of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. During college he began work at Baldwin Manufacturing where he worked until his death and was currently the Quality Assurance Coordinator. On February 23, 1993 he married Brenda Hawkins at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kearney. He also worked part time at Thrifty Car Rental in Kearney. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and enjoyed Stock Car Racing, fishing and playing with his kids. He and his wife were foster parents for seven years.
