Wendolyn “Wendy” M. Dietz, age 27, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 14, 2025, at the Kearney eFree Church with Pastor Trevor Smith officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Liberty Cemetery North of Minden. Memorials are suggested to the Kearney eFree Church or Southern Valley High School. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney is in charge of arrangements. Wendolyn was born March 12, 1997, to Tony and Natalie (Burchell) Dietz. The family made their home in Orleans, NE. Wendy graduated from Southern Valley High School in 2015. After High School she attended Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA for a short time. On April 26, 2017, Wendy gave birth to a beautiful little girl named Acelyn Winter Grilli. They made their home in Kearney, NE., where they resided until Wendy’s passing. Wendolyn loved reading, going to her church, studying the bible and watching Grey’s Anatomy. She absolutely worshipped her beloved daughter Acelyn and adored her big brother Dan. Wendolyn was known for her generosity and loving spirit. Wendolyn was preceded in death by her two grandfathers, Marshall J. Burchell and William G. Dietz. Wendolyn leaves behind to mourn her daughter Acelyn; her loving big brother Tony Danial (Dan) Dietz of Commerce City, CO.; her parents Tony Dietz and Natalie Burchell; uncles Dan (Lois) Burchell of Holcomb, KS, Dennis (Edna) Dietz of Orleans, NE.
