Don R. Loskill, 62, of Kearney died Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, January 27th at 10:00 A.M. at the St. James Catholic Church with Father Mike McDonald officiating.Burial will be at the Kearney Cemetery.Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home and prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.The family will be present during visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday.Memorials are suggested to Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice or the Good Samaritan Hospital Cancer Fund. Don was born February 7, 1947 in Hastings to Lawrence ?Buster? and Berniece (Hartman) Loskill.He graduated from Roseland High School in 1965, and he attended Kearney State College for two years.He married Kathy Hemberger on August 20, 1966 at the Assumption Catholic Church in Juniata.Don worked for Kizzier Chevrolet for 18 years as a mechanic and also a salesman.He then had Walker Auto sales in Kearney.In 1974 he started Cottonmill Enterprises Inc. doing soding, seeding, and grading for homes in Kearney.He and Kathy ran Cottonmill Bar B Q catering.He loved to cook and try making many different foods.In 1992 he started moving houses to use as rental property.Don enjoyed working and making his own equipment for his business.They sold and retired from Cottonmill Enterprises Inc. in 2008. During retirement Don enjoyed camping and traveling.He looked forward to every February when they would travel to Florida to see their daughter.He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.
