Edward D. Dauel, age 81, of Pleasanton, passed away Wednesday, August 21st 2024, at his home. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 27th, 2024 at Grace Lutheran Church in Pleasanton with Pastor Victor Rasmussen officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 26th, 2024 at the church. Memorials are suggested to Grace Lutheran Church or the Pleasanton Volunteer Fire Department Building Fund. Edward Dale Dauel was born on May 13th, 1943 in Kearney, NE to Christian and Lillie (Rodehorst) Dauel. He attended District 26, a one-room schoolhouse in rural Buffalo County, through the eighth grade. He graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1962. Ed was married to Bernadine (Daake) on December 29th, 1962 at St Mary’s Prairie Center Catholic Church, north of Kearney. He was a supportive husband, father and grandfather. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. Survivors include his wife, Bernadine; daughter Kelly (Wade) Hartman of Gibbon, sons; Kevin (Dee Adams) of Merna and Jeff of Peru and daughter; Julie (John) Chramosta of Ravenna. Grandsons; Colby (Lindy) Hartman, Chad (Hallie) Hartman, Easton Dauel, Mark Chramosta, Blake (Audra) Chramosta and granddaughters; Chelsey (Bennett) Petersen, Kaitlin Dauel and Brooke Chramosta. Step-grandchildren; Lisa, Paul, Shane, Bridget and Kelsey. Great grandchildren; Hallie, Garrett, Luke and Caylee Hartman; Bowen, Brynlee, Blair, Blane and Baylor Petersen; Nealie and Bauer Hartman and seven step-great grandchildren. Brother, Donald (Sharon) Dauel, sisters-in-law; Barbara Dauel, Marie (Mel) Menke, Betty Daake, Carol (Roger) Buoy, brothers-in-law; Greg (Jan) Daake and Leonard (Denise) Daake. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Dorathy (Dot) and her husband Russell Lindner, Wanda and her husband Eugene Unick, brothers; Darold Dauel, Robert (Bob) and his wife Fay Dauel, brother-in-law; Harold (Cork) Daake, sister-in-law; Yolanda Daake and step-grandson; Christopher Johnson.
