Glenda L. Moes, age 70, of Kearney, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 in Kearney County as a result of a car accident.Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 21, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. James Catholic Church in Kearney with Fathers Joe Hannappel and Matt Koperski officiating.Burial will be at the Kearney Cemetery.A Christian Wake Service will be Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. at the St. James Catholic Church.Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney.Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.A message of condolence, tribute, or memory may be sent to www.hlmkfuneral.com.Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services of Kearney is in charge of arrangements. Glenda was born September 11, 1939 in Adams County to Daniel and Sophia (Schukei) Roeder.As an infant she was baptized at the Wanda Lutheran Church.In 1943 the family moved to Kearney and she began school at Zion Lutheran School and then on to Kearney High School. On September 16, 1961 she married Fred Moes, and this union was blessed with four children:Kristy, Kurt, Kelley, and Kyle.She was employed in the housekeeping department at St. John?s Center and had recently retired from her job at UNK. She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Kearney.Glenda enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren were her pride.She cherished the friendships she has made throughout the years.Her faith and beliefs played an important role in her life.She especially loved all her animals.
