Norma J. Isaac

Norma J. (Misener) Isaac, 84, of Kearney, died October 27, 2021 at C.H.I. Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 1, 2021, at the Faith United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeff Wulf officiating. Casual attire is requested. Burial will follow the service at the Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated later. Norma was born on June 12, 1937 in Riverton, Iowa, to Helen & Ray Misener, growing up in Kearney, Nebraska with her brother Marvin Misener and sister Beverly Thomas-Schepeler. She married James H. Isaac on September 11, 1955. They were proud to be the first couple married at Faith United Methodist Church. After a short time of living in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, where Jim was in the service, they moved to Kearney, Nebraska where they owned and operated Midwest Printing. Norma loved and cared for many children in her home throughout the years and then went to work at Target when it opened in 1994 in Kearney. She loved seeing and visiting with people as she worked, most often, behind the service desk for many years. Norma loved her boys, her grandchildren and great grandchildren so much. She will be remembered for being a great mom, grandma, a wonderful cook, always having a dish of Smartie candies ready for the kids and having the best Halloween candy. She frequently enjoyed watching the antics of her fur-grandbaby, Smokey. Norma is survived by her children, Mike Isaac (Kim), Kevin Isaac (Sue), Brad Isaac & Darin Isaac (Laura); grandchildren, Deidre Hollister (Brant), Shauna Isaac (Andrew), Jordan Isaac, J.D. Isaac (Breanna), Makenzi Isaac (Tanner) & Ryan Isaac; great grandchildren, Charlotte Norton, Raiden Isaac, Violet Hollister, Lydia Hollister, Adalida Isaac and James Isaac. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim who passed away on January 11, 1994, her parents, and her brother Marvin Misener.
